Founded in 2004, the West Tennessee Chapter promotes Tennessee Urban Forestry Council’s mission "to inspire and empower people to develop, grow and sustain vibrant, healthy, and productive urban and community forests."
Founded in 1991, the Tennessee Urban Forestry Council (TUFC) is our state’s oldest non-profit voice for trees. It’s a diverse group of Tennesseans — urban foresters, arborists, community leaders, educators, gardeners, landscape designers — who strive to expand public awareness of the role trees and forests play in the urban environment.
The chapter partners with organizations like Memphis City Beautiful, the Wolf River Conservancy, and Memphis Native Tree Works on tree plantings and maintenance projects throughout the city.
