Investigate and learn about our urban forest from the experts. Instruction and outdoor learning will cover tree anatomy and physiology, tree identification, tree selection, tree planting and care, tree pruning, tree problems and diagnosis, invasive species, environmental factors affecting trees, and trees and people in the community, including tree law for homeowners and the history of urban forestry.
The next class will be held in September and October 2026 at the Memphis Botanic Garden. Dates are Sept. 9, 16, 23, 30, and Oct. 7 and 14.
